as you approached me from afar
my heart began to race
more lovely than a star
how i long for your embrace

i looked into your eyes
and instantly i knew
tho it took me by surprise
i felt that i loved you

the way you looked at me
i knew you felt the same
were were meant to be
and cupid was to blame

i said you make me happy
please never let me go
you said you'd always love me
through rain and sleet and snow

now our love is like the pounding
of a single beating heart
throughout time resounding
for we will never part.
