When Darkness Prevails

Outside, in darkness

An eerie sight

Too real to make believe

Too scary of a site

An errie glow from the moon above

Shines so little light down to the ground

With the howling wind ripping through the nighttime air

I am scared, no one's there

Lights out, not once, but twice

For only breif moments, but a moment's enough

This darkness is a sight to behold

So unearthly real, a new story is told

The vastness of this nothing ness that I see

All are darkend shapes, which darkness never sees

Building and trees stand shadows so tall

In this darkness of a world

I feel so small

I am scared, no one's there

Author's Notes/Comments:

I put this one in the category of 'beauty' because with the lights all around town off for a breif moment or two...it was beautiful to see what God has made.  The untouched surface of everything without any light to guide it...such surrealness in this fake world of ours.
