Soliloquy

Folder:
Shout And Shrill

Melancholic, forlorn

I mourn all alone,

Secured, in her womb.

I hoped, to be born;

Tomorrow

When the doctor comes,

To do the MTP as planned,

I have no choice to live.

Resisting, the powerful man,

Before, the break of dawn,

I will be, forever gone.

I wail, "Mom please, don't,"

Feeble are my cries

Alone

No one to hear, no one to care;

Foetus, has no voice to air!

This poem touched me. So many people using abortion like it's a form of birth control Very sad situation. In the words of Gwendolyn Brooks:

"Abortions will not let you forget.
You remember the children you got that you did not get"

Excellent. I hear the women here complaining that if we ban abortion it impedes their right of choice over their bodies. I say you have a choice, and that is to not have sex. You play you pay. Only a small number use abortion because of medical reasons or to terminate rape. Abortion should not be allowed as a convenient contraceptive.

Great write.
