[for Lady Rae]

And now that Paul is dead and gone, what will
you do?  What is the future now?  Who will
continue his great work, and who can fill
his sandals?  No one can, you know, but still
the acts of Christ apostles must go on,
despite the prospect of more martyrdom.
And Christ said, "Occupy until I come,"
and we must not slack off while He is gone
from here.  Titus---Philemon---Timothy
continue with their usual ministry.
Aquila and Priscilla host a church
in their house.  Luke has finished his research,
and writes his books in sparkling, scholarly
phrases.  All this, despite Paul's tragic death:
in Christ, the faith is never out of breath.

Author's Notes/Comments:

The acts of Christ apostles refers to the Biblical book Acts of the Apostles.  The words of Christ, cited above, are in Luke 19:13; the speaker's response to that is consistent with 1 Corinthians 15:58.  The six Christians named are mentioned either in Acts or in the Paul's letter.  A scholar, whom I cannot now cite (as the text has long been out of my hands), but believe to be Bruce Metzger, described Luke's writing style as sunlit; hence, in allusion to that, I have called it sparkling.

I know i must sound repetitive but your work is just amazing. I like the way you describe how it was when the world lost one of the great apostles, beautiful. Rae

and i am beyond humbled for the dedication. Rae
