Shadow

Folder:
Crazies

So beautiful outside

Sun shining, smile do I grace

Casting my shadow to the ground

Complete and whole without a face

So invisible the shadows tale

Like trying to read eyes

Behind sunglasses

Where Color lies

Do you see it

Can you tell

I AM

C R U M B L I N G

Deep within these crevaces

If you can read between the lines

You will see I am dying from the inside out

Does anyone out there want to take the time?

Look behind the shades, do you see my eyes are glazed?

Perhaps you would rather just pretend all is well

Too much work to console a friend I'm sure

You didn't reach out, so I fell

Dissappeared without a trace

Sun hiding behind clouds

No shadow, no face

Author's Notes/Comments:

Do we really see each other?  I mean.. when someone you care about is hurting.. can you really tell.. or do they hide it well.

I love it! I like the shape, and the metaphors you chose are excellent. I also just love the thoughts. I'm lucky to have read it :)
