You are writing tanka. 5-7-5-7-7. I looked it up. Then noticed it in your lines. I guess I am trying to learn the terms and understand them better.

Yes.  Proportionately, the

Yes.  Proportionately, the tanka outnumber my other poems.  But I do not consider them my main work, and I sign them with a Haiku name, Kyakuchuu, which means footnote in Japanese.  And they are exactly that---footnotes to my main poetry.  Of course, there is also the pun embedded in that title, too, so I have a bit of fun with that as well :)
