This is a glaring exclamation at what drives us and our generations, the ungiven promise deep within the bottle (or any other addictive substance for that matter) and it ends where it does end- a fatal collision. Thank you. I agree. And this is why i think King's novel, Carrie, and the 1976 film version of it, is more than just a mere horror story: it is also a great metaphor for the high school experience. There is more terror among the bullied in our high schools than in all the horror fiction put together.
