As The Table Revolves…

Some people, they like to believe

That everything has an established wisdom.

This “universal” and too commonly accepted

Arrangement has got to go.

Sometimes it’s hard to find your way

And you just want to lie down.

Flee from the effortless itinerary;

Roll your eyes at this mockery of humanity.

Countless people believe everything on the set table

They glimpse and become acquainted with.

As they advance through their upbringing,

Heaps of remote persons lie back

To let the brainwashing persist—

Particularized evolution is lost.

I say leave no stone untwisted within;

Eradicate all those cattle assurances.

Individuality ought to be strived for.

Convinced people may tell of duplicity.

They possibly will express that

You already have everything you need.

Or articulate of a stipulated

And programmed hierarchy of Natural Law.

Find your internal tranquility.

Fear of chagrin in some lustrous spirit world

Disrespects sagacity

And one’s personal journey.

Author's Notes/Comments:

"A man's ethical behavior should be based effectually on sympathy, education, and social ties and needs; no religious basis is necessary. Man would indeed be in a poor way if he had to be restrained by fear of punishment and hope of reward after death."~Albert Einstein

such beautiful words and from one so young, incredible, please don't let your new found poetry fall to the way side as you persue your studies and your eventual career. That would be a steap dissappointment(just not yet realized) to the world. Oh, and thank you for sharing the depth, width, and height of your talent, heart and life's journey in furthering its engagement with experience. most sincerely melissa lundeen
