I face each day with trepidation

Because of what is yet to come

Thinking that it may be all too good

I'm sure that we'll be damned.

The world may be laughing with us now

But it could get jealous of the glow in you

And curse us, let our love be tried

And then what are we to do?



What if we don't find a job,

And we'd go hungry for days?

What if I get addicted to the glass

And let my life go to waste?

What if you meet someone else,

And what if I did too?

What if we get tired of dreaming,

Or waiting for them to come true?
