Adoption

There once was this little doll,

Who wasn’t cute at all.

He could not be sold,

So the story is told.

He had a broken limb,

And no one paid attention to him.

He had an awful scent,

That made garbage smell like a mint.

Then one day,

Two people came to take him away.

They looked past the dirt, the broken limb, and the smell,

And loved him for who he was, as far as one could tell.

The dolls heart leaped with joy,

As he became the couples new boy.

He finally felt happiness and love,

He finally knew he was sent from up above.
