Poem Of Gratitude, By An Ektroma

I thank and bless God, the undivided Trinity,

that my callow lack of unfamiliarity---

with the profound grandeur of the Psaltery--

works to my good, to foster the humility

in which my soul, for its time left, should abide,

away from the very present perfidy

of my deep and most besetting weakness, Pride,

that I have always sought in any scholarly

knowledge, achievement or activity.

But, I pray:  that He guides my Poetry

to praise Him through the Holy Psaltery

in the fellowship of Salvation's mystery

and the comfort of its ancient spirituality.

So much light streams in this

So much light streams in this heartfelt "thank you" to the Source of all mercy. You follow in the footsteps of many saints who desired to purge themselves of pride in order to draw closer to the Most High. In this luminous devotion, I get the strong message that no price is too high for such a union. Very inspiring.

Thank you for understanding.

Thank you for understanding. At this stage of my life, it is time to address the failures, and the hesitancies, and to fix them.  And you are right:  no price is too high to leave these behind and adcance forward, starward, toward God.  You always understand me so precisely, and I am very grateful for that.
