Who do you think you are?

Who do you think you are?

Who do you think you are, to play with the trust of the people?

Who do you think you are, to fight with people for your chair?

Who do you think you are, to kill people so you can stay in power?

Who do you think you are, to steel money to poor people for your own pocket?

Our country is in poverty, because you stole from his people.

Our country is crying, because you murdered his people.

Our country is destroyed, because of you.

Our country has had enough leaders like you.

Isida, I used to waste energy

Isida, I used to waste energy on this. It does express the feeling accurately. The title is great too.

As sad as it is, that is politics. What is more sad to me, now that I know it, is how these people are voted into office by us to make decisions for us. In America there are three branches of government. I have always said that there should be a fourth for when government bodies deny a law...the fourth branch should be where the people get to vote. It will never happen. But I can hope??? ;-)

Very good expression here.

...and he asked her, "do you write poetry? Because I feel as if I am the ink that flows from your quill."

"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "

An obvious plea for a fairer deal for those less fortunate in life, and no bad thing at that. Your poem does not make clear who is dealing out these injustices and in what part of the world. Or maybe you mean rich countries stealing from poor countries, although I think richer countries are just more organized. It's the disorganization of a country that hides it's corrupters and corruption. Where ever it is in the world, I hope their deal in life improves for them. I enjoyed reading your poem, and it was interesting putting the above interpritation on the poem.

Thank you for your interpretation of my poem

Thank you for your interpretation of my poem.  unfortunately are many countries in the world that are ruled by bad leaders who only think about their own benefits and are ready to kill innocent people in order to stay in power.  This poem is the voice of people around the world who are treated unfairly by their leaders.
