The Driftwood Instrument (Part Two)

I twirl and you tug and pull at my strings

You love me with such fervor it leaves marks

But when you can't feel flesh and warmth

You lay splintered and bitter

I loved this! I feel like the second and third line could be brought up to the level of the rest of the lines, but that's just cause the rest are so well placed...

Much Love

...good poetry anytime. You compose exceptionally well and it is always (even if sad) a treat to read your work. Nice series. ~allets~
