Sir, I want to thank you for bashing my poetry. And in your honor, if you are familiar with the word... I lay this at your feet.
I bow my head to your royal eye
You discern the shit from the worse
Unreservedly you dole out insults
As well you should
If not for you and your kind
Who else would people look up to?
Indeed I would love it, if you would be so kind
As to drop that bomb you mentioned on my face.
Please do put this terrible writer out of his misery
But I beg of you, one question before I go
Would you also be so kind as to show me a place
Where I can see your, no doubt, masterful use of the language?
I would so cherish a chance to see true poetic greatness
Before meeting my maker, who I'm sure is you.
Once again I'd like to thank you for your unabashed critiques.
They prove beyond a shadow that you are a gracious man.
I have no doubt you could have done worse in insulting my work.
Excellent call in assuming that I was very serious about my writing.
You also hit the nail on the head when you said
All I'm looking for is to have people feel sorry for me.
I couldn't possibly be looking to share an unfortunate plight
With others who can relate.
We aren't all as lucky as you my dear John.
We can't all be perfect.
Thats just precious
