The sun belongs to no one

Solar power is a beautiful thing. Being off of the grid frees. Though it does need it's maintenance once in a while, it is far less expensive once you have your system up and running properly. Don't have to pay the vig to the power cartels!  It would be amazing to see more American's make the transition for real. Solar/grid options are available more and more, however, being truly off grid is where it's at.

Off grid solar is a step toward taking our power back.

On grid solar is still a payment trap.

Of course, most households are connected to grid and it would cost a fortune to convert all homes, so I understand the need for an ongrid solar transition. And still, we would not have to rely on some of those forms of power creation that are unsustainable for the earth.

Author's Notes/Comments:

These are just thoughts running through my fingers after reading some allets about Trump where she mentioned solar.

In Michigan

We can convert for free. State pays for it in cooperation with Consumer's Power - the old Detroit Edison. The wave of the future as oil and gas run out. Europe is on it! I tis clean. Another area in practical application science in which usa is behind. We'll get there.

That's awesome

I'm really happy to hear that. Though it would be nice if solar was a wee bit more affordable to acquire the necessary elements to make it work. But if a person just gets a little at a time, it can be build upon. Most people can't just fork over a few thousand dollars all at once very easily. It becomes a connundrum for poor people. But if we play our cards right we can make it happen.

I'd really like to try wind power. There is a constant surge of it where i am. It's a wonder i don't see many of them around here.

If i could choose where our tax money really went to, i'd vote for solar and wind infrastructure.

Man, if only we didn't have a bunch of jerks funneling all the money to kill people in other countries. When do the murderous bastards get removed from power anyway? Haven't we, the people, seen enough?

It Takes Time

To remove a President and Vice-President, and Speaker of the House (Ryan about to become Pelosi), and Senate Pro-Tem. Designed to protect the office from frivolous referenda and we got caught with keeping who we elected. Considering how corrupt the liar is, we are delayed by the Mueller investigation. Delayed until January 4th when Dems take the House. Hurry up an wait. It is frustrating. Solar and wind power are the future! - slc

it does take time

Maybe we should just get rid of those positions.

i don't know what the answers should be but sometimes a thought like this pops up in my head.

Been tuned out from it all of that political stuff for a few days. More tuning in to what is happening in Paradise. I have friends down there covering the happenings with their video cameras. It's really devastating what has happened but there are a whole lot of really amazing people donating their time and resources to help all those misplace people. It is heart aching as well as heart filling at the same time. To know that there so many people stepping up to help them for real.

I didn't notice if any of the food trucks were using solar power down there but I'm sure there is some of that being used too.
