And we know, we should show up

On that date that we had set

Yet we are unable to explain

What it really is that will happen

So, we can only hope that it will be

everything it was supposed to be

and they'll shine so very bright

Everyone will leave with smiles

And I, will finally walk away

from these cigarette butts
