Don't have many stories

but stories to tell

stories of Hope 

of doubt and of hell

all the light

could be smothered by lies

and cloudy visions

would surely arise

yet hope could bring us

rainbows with rain

and hope might lessen

very old pain

but doubt would hinder

all that was gained

if hope doesn't come 

to surface again

So, I'll not tell stories

of heaven or hell

but I'll lower my bucket

back into hope's well

with faith in our hearts

we will learn to cope

as we drink in pure love

from the waters of hope
