At the beginning of each God-given day,

it’s very easy to be stretched every way.

Distracted by so many things in our lives,

we’ve become too busy to make time for Christ.

The world today is so caught up with one another,

that it has put brother against brother.

We’ve become so entrapped in our thinking,

we don’t realize how our spirit’s are sinking!

Sinking into the world’s pitfalls of this life,

and causing more trouble by increasing our strife.

Rushing from one place to another,

wasting more time than with Jesus our Savior.

 Jesus is patiently waiting our return,

the very One who we have so easily spurned.

Despite how much we have pushed Him away,

He will still be there at the end of the day.

Jesus will never forsake us, that’s no lie,

and He never will, even after we die.
