We honor our veterans today,
Those still with us,
And those who have passed away.
They stand for the freedoms we enjoy,
When they left they were mere boys.
From now to way back then,
They fought for us
And came back men.
They gave their lives in France and Germany
During World War I
The European theater, Italy, Africa, and Pacific Islands
During World War II.
They fought in the bitter cold of Korea
And the sweltering heat of Viet Nam.
They rescued fellow Americans from Grenada,
Evacuating them from this foreign land.
They fought a 100 hour war to free Kuwait,
From a megalomaniac’s attempt to rape.
They freed Afghanistan from tyrannical rule,
Giving the freed people the political tool.
They have chased terrorist and kept them at bay,
And the Megalomaniac sits in a prison today.
In every action the willingness for that supreme sacrifice,
Protected our country’s cause and our way of life.
So it is my honor with this 200th poem,
To honor those who fought and died
To give me the freedom to write.
I thank you on behalf of my fellow poets,
For your sacrifice to preserve this right.

For your 200th poem you could not have written anything any better or with any more truth within. Fantastic job Huck and I wanted to leave this message here this time for you to find. Love, Lesa
