Let's roll.
Two little words that galvanized a divided nation
Making it whole.
Let's roll.
Two little words, spoken in a hero's last breath
Taking down hijackers and an uncertain death.
Let's roll.
Two little words that became the battle cry of the day
To root out terrorists, whereever they hide
And make them pay.
Let's roll.
Two little words that rallied Americans to take a stand
And they came to fight from all over this great land.
Let's roll
Two little words that awakened the sleeping giant
To stamp out the terrorists so defiant.
Little did that hero realize on that doomed bird
The power he invoked with those two little words.
Let's roll.
I enjoyed this very much partially because Neil Young wrote a song based on those two words also.
I do not remember his lyrics, but this one is just as good, if not better.
The idea is very centralized and focused so it has even a world perspective.
that's Very nice. it would be great if you could get that to Lisa. i'm sure many have written on this event, but this is the first i've read. : )
To me this is the best I have read of poems writtem about Todd Beamer and his "Lets Roll." I just hope we don't forget them.
This is good. "Greater love hath no man..." Those were very brave and caring individuals who fought to save lives on the ground. Thanks for sharing.
