To say, I have never loved other women, is not true,

Or at least what I thought was love at the time,

As I am sure it has been with other men for you.

I CAN say, I feel connected to you

As I have never felt with any other woman.

Your love washes over me like a wave

And totally consumes my very being.

It fills me with life and gives me meaning.

The other loves were so shallow

As to walk on the beach on the thin water

Of a receded wave.  

I think them not so much as love

As lust of a hormone driven young man

Searching for that one special person.

One who could look past the gangly,

Less than handsome creature before her,

Through to a heart waiting

To unload a ton of love on her.

That first night we met

Was nothing short of a miracle for me.

It was as a rose bud inside me blossomed.

It was like stepping from the darkness

Into bright sunlight.

Like a blind man, seeing

For the first time in his life.

I knew, at that instant in time

That you were to be mine.

I had never felt so sure

Of anything in my life,

And the magic of that moment

Has not subsided and still gives me tremendous joy.



Thank you lord for this woman

That I dearly love,

And I pray I never fail her,

For I know, in this life,

And in this world,

I could never find another

This warm and this loving or

Give me as much joy, as

This mate you have provided for me.



If anyone asks,

“Do you believe in miracles and magic”?

I do not hesitate,

With a resounding “yes”.

I don’t know, what or who

Brought us together

But, all I know is I am thankful.



You are my sun in the morning,

And my stars at night.

You are the air I breathe,

And all that is right.

If you ever doubt my love for you

Just read this letter and know,

My heart belongs to you for all time,

As it has in the past,

it will forever be.
