THE FAIREST OF THEM ALL
One day Gil the monkey gathered all the animals to a meeting to tell them that the end of the world was coming in 3 days and that they needed to get prepared and go to mountain Tuki in order to survive. All animals panicked and went home to pack and warn their families. Jack the turtle was very worried about not getting in time to the mountain, while the tiger family was already on their way to mountain Tuki. The elephants finished packing one day after the monkey’s warning, while the snails took their time and slept all day. It was day 2 after the monkey’s warning and the earth was already starting to fall apart. The trees were out of leaves and the ground was beginning to crack. While all the animals were scared and running to mountain Tuki, the unicorn Pegasus was relaxing and enjoying a delicious meal. Rocinante the horse, who was Pegasus’s cousin tried to alarm him. – Pegasus! Hurry! We need to run, the end is coming- Said Rocinante. –Haha, Oh cousin. I see you didn’t get any of the beauty and intelligence of the family. How can you believe such thing?- -Come On! Don’t be so arrogant! We are trying to help you! Donkey and Zebra are already on their way. We are a family and we need to stick together, Let’s go!- -No way! I’m not going with those fools. A creature like me cannot die, I’m the fairest of them all,I’m staying.-
Rocinante the horse kept trying to convince his cousins and and all the other unicorns, but there wasn’t any more time. Everyone has left him and he had to go too. Earth was a catastrophe, there was barely any food left, the traffic to mountain Tuki was huge and everyone was very afraid. Finally day 3 came and the monkey’s predictions were right. Seas overflowed and destroyed everything, every existing volcano exploded and the sky was full of tornados. For some strange reason the animals that went to mountain Tuki survived like nothing had happened. After 5 days, the sky cleared, flowers grew, and everything was back to normal; but since that day anyone has ever seen another unicorn again.
I enjoyed the story but I
I enjoyed the story but I think in the last line there is a word that doesn't make sense. It says "but since that day anyone has ever seen another unicorn again." I am thinking it is meant to say "no one has ever seen another..."
