Once you draw one you have to hold them

I wanted an audience.

So I picked up my pen and drew one.

There were beautiful faces,

looking toward me,

with smiles and laughter about them.

I read them some lines of poetry.

And every one just sat there.

With that same silly grin.

I held them as they looked at me,

frozen in their moment of time.

I drew an audience and they were stiff.

Next time, I'll have to animate mine.
