That's exactly what I meant. You understand me perfectly. No matter how much we know, it is only the part that 'we' know. Then there are the parts that others know. And we tend to gravitate and enjoy those souls who know us deeply, for the sole (soul...hehe) reason, that they help to stabilize us within and keep balance. We protect them, sometimes we become so intertwined the boundaries are hazy... we begin to 'assume' things, and especially so, when we are imbalanced...because we want them to help us feel stable again. This is the job of a soulmate, and why there is that tendency to assume, but most people give up on the most important time. They say to themselves, "Oh he/she did this, that, whatever", because they are not able to love unconditional. Soulmates show each other unconditional love---that is why it is so rare.  It is about not giving up at times when one or the other is in denial or unable to convey some deep rooted distress of what is going on within them, or other influences in their lives that have them behaving without understanding or compassion---the number one reason people lose each other in relationships and seek marriage counseling. Lack of communication about their feeling.
