My family tried to bring me up.
But the devil had threatened
With holding me down.
He grabbed at my feet
And sunk in his teeth
Slashed at my heart
Leaving scars that still bleed.
My family has wandered away.
They still love me I hope and I pray.
So, I will keep fighting to find my own way.
To open my heart that appeared to betray.
