dream
that we would have laughter and happiness
reality
now we only have tempers and egos
dream
that we would live life as partners
reality
just seperate lives sharing a space
dream
that we would have a place of our own
reality
ghosts haunt every room
dream
we would talk of our thougts and feelings
reality
now only cross words and silence
dream
life would work out for us
reality
the eight ball might say..... ask again later
dream
that I had finally found a real true love and soul mate
reality
ops....my bad
Hi Renee
Another great read... really enjoyed the flow of this one and the message behind it. Dreams are great hey? and they can really really come true.. trust me! Mine did!!!!
Thanks for sharing
Roz :)
Renee, The very stark contrast and the simple language of this poem make it very raw and emotional. Thanks for sharing this one; it's obviously very painful and personal, and I hope you find a way to find a balance so your dream and your reality are one and the same.
I still believe in the dream and want it to become reality. How do we put our pride on the back burner and let our souls communicate what they know to be true of one another? Can we soar above all the pettiness and look at the true love we have for one another that seems to get trampled by foolish pride. I sure hope so. YOur goldeneagle forever if you'll have me
