i sit here listening
to different notes
notes to soothe my soul
Tina 'The Best' now that cuts the crap
'So Far Away' from Dire Straits
A song from the past
Cameo's 'Word Up'
now that should give
just a little insight to my mind today
Chuck Berry singing 'Johnny B. Goode'
what a song to heal by
music can help me when nothing else does
so i sit and listen trying to find
notes to soothe
A lot of Jim Croce
'I've Got A Name', 'Roller Derby Queen'
that man knew he could rock
too bad he was taken from us so soon
I sit here listening to voices of the past
songs taht soothe my aching soul
notes to soothe the pain in my mind and heart
I want to get up and dance when I hear these songs
I want to sing to the top of my lungs
I want to smile and laugh and have a great day
but I sit here looking
hoping to find
those notes that will soothe this aching soul
I had a dream but it seems out of reach
I have a name and that can change
from minute to minute
moving down the highway so life don't pass me by
I think maybe it should pass me today
'Hard Time Losing Man'
now that is the one
hits the way I feel right now
waiting for my ship to come in
but all I get is the tide
silence is just too much today
I beg for something fun
something that can make things better
so I sit listening hoping that I find
just that note that will soothe this little country girl
How do the lyrics go? sonething like "...I've been through the desert on a horse with no name....and it's hard to forget the pain"...something to that effect. I hate this silence. I so want to be with the woman I love. Let's call a truce. This stupid pride'ego is simply a way of edging God out. How tdo we get back on track. You mean the world to me and I am so ddple sorry for my silence and all the pain I have caused you. i truly have your best interest at heart and wan the ghosts floating through our lives to become part of our life together. A life that has great promise for a terrific future if we can come to understand those ghosts and live with them instead of trying to eliminate them. KindHeart
