He was just a 12 year old boy.
To his father he was just a joy.
In a cross fire they were caught,
nothing like this would happen they thought.
To cause the death of a child this young,
the punishment should be men until death hung.
My heart just breaks for the mother in all this,
to know this is real and not just show biz.
She now has to bury her little 12 year old,
the story is out there, over the world told.
A father critically injured, a boy fatally hit,
this makes me so mad I feel like having a fit.
A family living a life so many things to live for,
now their child lies dead amid all the gore.
There was no way this they could evade.
This is what can happen when dreams fade.
This is so sad. I cant believe this $hit happens. I know it does because I have seen it before when I was training to be a cop, but it never fades out of my head. It is something I will see every time I close my eyes. You did a great job expressing it in your writings. Take care Renee, Wendy
You have such a way of portraying a story in your words. Very well written.. I can feel your pain as you tell the story. So sad it is when one loses a child. You captured the feelings that come with this tragedy so well. Very touching. Jen
AGAIN WELL DONE A+ I'M STILL TRYING !
Hi Renee Wow.. this poem was so good. Very powerful as well. So many emotions going through this. You have written this one so brilliantly and thanks for sharing it with us. Cya and have a good day :) Roz
So much death & the only people who see it are the ones caught in the crossfire - the innocents, the mothers, the fathers, the land itself & maybe, a child who might just have changed the world. And who cares??? Certainly not those who ravage the earth with hot metal & blood. Who cares??? You do, Renee!! And you showed it with this powerful piece. Amy
Gentle is the night♥
WOW Renee'!!! Excellent poem! Once again, I am drawn to the compassion and warmth you portray through your words. The tragedies of this world, "our" world, need to be heard and you have such a beautiful way of making it come alive... Thanks and congrats, nancy
TOuching story indeed....and curse those bastards who did this....to kill such bliss with unfeeling evil.... I love the rhyming words u used...simply succinct... And yes,,,u should send this to the people concerned...it will touch them, just as much.
... what a traggedy.... ...can you email me the news article about it? i'd like to know more about the event. a nice blend of news and poetry put together. =)! ...perhaps you should send this piece to the family.. just a thought
renee..this is beautiful and very very touching.
Truth is written within this - it is part of history - once again religion destroys the future of many. When will it stop. A very wel written poem renee. Keep it up baby Love Misty:-)
Marvelous poem. Thank youfor writing about the Palestinian tragedy. Yes, dear friend, dreams can fade. Dreams as trees need fertile soil, sun and air. You are invited to read my "Expired Dream". Thanks for sharing.
Renee' I was horrified at the picture that was all over Israeli news of the twelve year old boy, Rami Aldura shown with his Father's arms around him trying to protect him from being a casualty of war. It wasn't enough, but be assured that God will have his way with any man that harms a child. It would not be enough to hang these men...but I will laugh as they are sent to hell for this heinous crime of killing a young boy in the tragedy of war. Renee' I applaud you for taking this issue to heart and writing about it. It is so awful that people are so used to hearing about this kind of sadness that it doesn't phase them any longer. We should be morally accountable for this, and many other tragedies, but most are not. I lose faith in humanity sometimes, but find restoration in the fact that people like you are thinking about this, and doing what they can. Most don't even stop to read about it. You should find a way to send this to his family. Maybe Turki Amur could help you? Please send a copy of this to him, as well. I know these tragedies are weighing heavily on his mind and heart as this is his country. I thank you, Renee' for being a stand-up person, and for this beautiful tribute to the little boy that died for nothing.
I like your verses-wrapped stories, they're lucid in the way they touch hearts, souls ,and buried wounds.I thank you for your concern about what could happen to a stranger, or to even a helpless insect!I have the same concerns! Thanks Renee.. Ali
GREAT JOB SAD STORY YOU HAVE A GIFT TO MAKE OTHERS FEEL I AS THEY READ GREAT WORD USE STOP HEY WHATS THAT SOUND IS RINGING IN MY HEAD THANKS RENEE'
This poem makes a nice tribute to a heartbreaking event. It makes us despise warmongers even more! The boy will be remembered through your poem and will touch many people!
