She Did Not

She was standing on the corner,

When the car stop right in front,

She did not know who he was,

But of his anger she took the brunt.

She did not even know his name,

He did not even know hers,

For her no wedding or kids,

No cars, home, or furs.

She will never watch her kids grow,

Or in school get the passing grade,

Not know what it is like to love,

For now they watch her fade.

She did not have a clue,

When she opened up the door,

That this would be her last ride,

For now and ever more.
