All I can think of
Is his golden curled hair
And how his skin
Goes from tan to fair
The sweet compassion
In his voice
And the appreciation
Through his rejoice
His soft lips
When they touch mine
His arms holding tight
Whispering, “It’ll be fine”
Making me feel beautiful
Even when I’m not my best
Placing me a notch higher
And above all the rest
Assuring me indubitably
Where I can only believe
For the sincerity in his voice
Has yet left me to grieve
His deep telling eyes
As I watch reveal
More than any words
Could ever appeal
His gentle hand
As he grabs my own
Again his heart through
Another way is shown
And when he smiles
So happy and sweet
I am infinitely lifted
To that cloud nine retreat
Peaceful and content
No matter the day
As long as that moment
With him I do stay
It’s an amazing feeling
This satisfied attraction
From simply being with him
Through no sexual action
To merely hold and be held
Each hand entwined
Simply knowing he’s there
Just abstracts my mind
How can something so simple
Be so emotionally fulfilling
And anticipation of his kiss
More than anything, is thrilling
In the midst of his being
I am sent in a flurry
As all the world
Becomes so blurry
And he’ll look at me
As I try to look back
Hoping my body
Doesn’t seize joyous attack
The speckles of green
Dotted within brown
Looking into my own
Always removing the frown
Dimples so defined
And a set of pearly whites
Glimmer sparking in both
As the passion ignites
He told me that he loved me
I blissfully told the same
And as we stood in silence
So began that ceaseless flame
Four years I’ve been crushing
Hiding seemingly well
Since he never knew
Until I did tell
Finally able to say all
The things I’ve long felt
Trying to conceal from him
But now they are dealt
Telling him just how much
I’ve cared all these years
And releasing the joyful
Abundant built tears
