poem_059_Slow_Motion

We’ve all heard people say “It was like slow motion”

And I’m sure we’ve all thought “Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight”

I never understood till I went through that emotion.

And when I did it brought me a new type of sight.

I was walking through the mall listening to Disturbed.

I caught a glimpse of this guy I thought to be another person.

When I looked back a second time I was perturbed.

I felt my heart stop, everything was slow, and then it worsen.

My eyes saw his, but they weren’t the same as before.

My steps seemed to slow and my breathe slowed as well.

At first all this confusion of thought I tried to ignore.

But the closer and closer I got I felt my tears swell.

The distance quickly got close and yet time felt slow.

The tears fell from my cheeks as my heart pounded.

I quickly looked away trying not to let my tears show.

And I continued to walk on completely confounded.

That was the moment when time stood still and I felt slow motion.

It happened and gave me such an in impact for a reason.

And because of this I know, I had to create this notion.

I had to confront him and see what he meant by his possible treason.
