Valentine’s Gift



I thought I might send some roses,

But roses don’t last forever.

Perhaps I could send some plastic ones!

But then I thought however,

That I could send some chocolate!

But they would melt in the hot weather.

I thought I’d send a singing valentine.

“Yeah that would be clever”.

I found how much it costs,

And I was like “What ever!”



So those ideas didn’t seem to work,

And I’ve been thinking long and hard.

My signing wouldn’t make you smirk.

So I got you a BIG V-day card!



The poem in it was nice.

But I think I can do better.

The following is hopefully concise.

If not, then next time I’ll just write a letter.

You make me smile

When I hear your voice.

Your number, when I dial,

Even makes me rejoice



Everything about you I find alluring,

And it doesn’t matter that you’re a bit overweight.

Because hey we’re both still maturing.

We’ll lose it all as we get older just wait!



Only a few years and you will see.

You’ll be buff, and I’ll be slim.

We’ll be the hottest you and me!

Yeah! We’ll be cut and trim!



Oops got off track from what I was trying say.

Just simply know ai shite masu!

And that’s what I was trying to portray.

You should know that the phrase means I love you!
