poem_015_The_Poem_I_Gave_to_You

It reminded me of you and your months of heartache

It reminded me of when my mom told of the heartbreak

So I gave you a copy for your soul and life’s sake

You used the simple poem to arouse jealousy yet want

Because the situation encountered might have caused you daunt

And you began to go through a possible life threatening gaunt

When I heard what you did with my poem and name

I couldn’t believe that I might be the dame

That made you two rekindle y’alls flame

It was just a simple poem that you used for hope of renewal

To make you and your girls love shine like a jewel

Since you wanted her back to make y’all a dual

Just a few simple words all from one thought

Who would have known the feelings they brought

Who could of guessed the reaction it caught

Just a simple poem inspired by an action

What it gave was a great satisfaction

And caused ex-lovers to have another attraction

I await the day she’ll take you back

And make your life go steady on track

Cause no more your other half should you lack

Do not let your life start to decay

Even if it’s harder everyday

Cause you’ll be happy again someday

Good luck Doug on your jaunt through love’s twists and turns

I know, or at least have felt, how deep it burns

Just keep moving with your life until she returns
