How badly it hurt
Reading those words
To never again
Talk with him
“I’ll just end up hurting you”
His fight ‘til the end
Despite my will
To just be a friend
But he wanted more
And even though did I
The distanced bothered
He was that kind of guy
The conversations were vast
And great, and long
The instantaneous bond
Was magnificently strong
Not in many years had I
Met such a compatible person
And at the same time
That’s what made it worse
Because we were so close
Yet so far away
He couldn’t handle
To remotely stay
In my 19 years
I’ve met one other
Who was so great
Like this cover
Through this crazy path
Meeting none the-like
‘Til I see my Shadow
In such a shocking strike
Beside me forever
Like a Shadow does stride
Comforting by day
All around me at night
