This tiny creature
Finds comfort in my lap:
Coiling, sleeping.
So sweet, so precious;
She’s my loyal companion.
This lovely creature
Never complains, never fusses.
She knows how to appreciate
The love and spoiling she gets,
Her instinct would have known.
This beautiful creature,
Oh, how much I adore her!
She loves to be pat,
To be kissed and to be cuddled;
She’s warm and besotting.
This pretty creature
So meek and lovable;
She’s playful and full of tricks.
Harmless and fun to be with;
She’s the baby of our baby.
This cute creature
Was a happy playmate
To three cheeky siblings,
Whom I have to give away;
She is sad and so is me.
This tiny creature
Is my new bundle of joy.
She fills my empty nest
With happy purrs, I welcome in time.
She’s my pet, my sunshine and my friend.

What a beautiful poem, but your Author's Comments about giving the kittens away, them crying for you, and then the next day them being gone, was so sad and upsetting, not just for you but for me to read.
I LOVE cats and kittens myself, and have two cats who are the loves of my life (aswell as my Girlfriend!).
You may be interested to read my poem about my cat(s), called 'My Pet', which can be found on my page - but beware, other poems on my page MAY offend if you're not approving of BDSM, lesbianism and/or (ex-) Heroin addiction, tho you don't have to read those ones and even if you did you sound open-minded enough not to object to them.
Hope you and your cat(s) (and your ex-kittens) are all doing well, take care,
Alisha x
My Pet Kitten
I hope you are still around Alisha. Sorry for being away so long! I appreciate your input.
