I won’t become stagnant,
I won’t end ashamed,
I may never be a giant,
And I may never be named.
I may never be called brilliant,
But
my life will make a point.
I might not be called valiant,
But I can use my hair to anoint.
I will be genuinely broken,
So that Jesus can shine through;
I will drink enough water
So that I have enough tears for you.
I will love my enemies
Until they can say that I’m their friend.
I will always keep on trying
(All this because)
Life
does
not end . . .
I will be faithful and loyal
I will be trustworthy and reliable
I won’t answer when temptation knocks
I won’t “forget” God,
because He’s undeniable.
I will love my family and my friends
I will love the stranger
I will press on,
Even if my life’s in danger.
If God is not God,
Or if God is not
MY God,
Then I don’t exist
And my life doesn’t matter.
I may be called passionate
And I may be called
a nut
But at least I’ll be obedient
And not stuck in an empty rut.
I won’t ride the slippery slide
Or use the devil’s
h
an
d
glide
I won’t be slave to my pride
Because
I am sa ed.
