Tone it down…

Those are the words you said
when I confronted you
for ignoring me.

You said you wanted me to vent
and so you left
my emotions open-ended.

You let me pour out my heart;
Let me feelings run wild
emptying without abandon.

I know how difficult I am and
I fear no one will put with me
so that’s why I stay here.

I know I must soften my temperament
if I expect anyone to love me
but sometimes it’s easier being like this.

Please forgive me for how much
I bother you on a daily basis
and know that I do it because I care.
