For the record,

I still love you too

When I realized that I had to leave

It was the hardest thing that I ever had to do

and I am sorry for that love

I know it hurt, it hurt me too

That's why I tried to go back and make things right

But it was too late

For the record,

I loved you then and still do

But your rejection hurt

It hurt too much to stay

I was all alone, going crazy day and night

My health even started failing

So I had to leave again

Had to start life all over again

For the record,

I still love you and miss you

Wish you could change your mind

Or just realize that all relationships are tough

But I think that will take time

So for my sanity,

I will try to enjoy life without you now

And it's not because I don't love you or want to be with you

For the record,

I will always love you and miss you

In fact, I don't want to ever live without you

But it seems now all we have left

Are the beautiful memories

Maybe someday we will both understand how to make love work

And you never know what the future will bring

But for now, I just gotta try and enjoy life without you
