Listening to “Sweet Caroline” in a dive bar and delighted when someone wanted to sing the chorus out loud. I feel dejected that a lot disinterested patrons ignore the call. Have their brains been possessed by hipsters or maybe they are hipsters.  Maybe this is one of those faux dive bars that had authenticity decades ago but now was overrun with dripping hipster pretense.  The hipsters have ruined a lot in our world.  But to destroy a Neil Diamond classic in such a heartless manner is clearly going too far.  One wonders if anything is sacred anymore.
