INEVITABLY SUCCUMBING TO THE UBIQUITOUS

We will try to resist the machinery of big business.  We’ll try to avoid the bland fast food joints and the done to death themed chain “restaurants”.   We think ourselves better than that.  We all know the madre y padre burrito joint will make better tacos and burritos than any chain.  We know the brewpub burger will be both juicier and leaner than the fast food patty.  Sometimes we just have to give in due to practicality.  That Mickie Dee’s in the train station is the only thing open.  The local coffee shop closes down an hour earlier than the Starbucks.  Tragic but true.  Sometimes we do have to settle.  It is a mark on our conscious and perhaps we should recite three Tom Waits songs as penance.  Of course, in the end, we all have to survive.  And sometimes our taste buds will curse us for the concession.

Great thought process here. I

Great thought process here. I have a far more resolved attitude of late. I buy small wherever I can and fast from 24hr  big and fast. Except all be it in an emergency. And it still feels guilty as hell! Lol!
