I still remember

Captain Lou Albano

in the old WWWF

Oh the audacity

and the scorn he inspired

from middle age women

in love with babyface good guys

“He’s so full of shit.”

these otherwise meek housewives

intoned to the masses

But the third Executioner

was just an optical illusion

in spite what your eyes

might lead you to believe

I don’t know why

you would believe your eyes

when Captain Lou assures you

We watch the footage

and await the explanation

“There was no 3^rd Executioner.

It was an optical illusion.”

And with that I’m sold

We need to believe the words

of Captain Lou

and ignore our own eyes
