Candy wrappers crumble
on the floor
like fallen dreams
despair
desperation
desolation
ashes fall along the road
you take
(shoulda followed me, eh?)
You made your choice
guess it wasn’t
the right one
guess you would have liked
that other path
that I luckily
opted to follow
and alone
without you
I journeyed
You didn’t have the guts
and you found
your own road
was just a dead end
while my road remains open
in spite
massive obstacles
never too great
to overcome
Absolute Road Best Taken
