WHEN I'M IN DARKNESS

When I’m in darkness I can focus on creativity.  I can allow my imagination to run amok.  It, the darkness, is when the muses dare come to me and whisper orisons of faith.  I hear and listen.  The muses dance about teasing me subtly.  They promise nuggets of wisdom; display gold and diamonds to me.  But it doesn’t matter anyway unless there is a return to light.  There must be a return to the light in order for creation to take place.  So the darkness and light both serve their purpose.  The inspiration rises to the surface with the lights out.  I do focus on the moment.  In the coming onslaught of light I crystalize the vision into poetry.  I metamorphacize raw minerals and ores into the gems of Aphrodite.  In the moments ensuing the dark it comes to pass.  And in the rising of the sun my visions purely silhouette the dreams of beatific song and rhyme.  In the eye of the dawn comes furiously rushing the little avalanche of creation bearing the tender fruits of eternity’s glory.
