CONSECUTIVE THOUGHTS

A constellation of consecutive thoughts

                                           echo thru

                                     my brain

Deceived by time; laughed at

                                         by fate

                              I resolve

                         to go on

the thoughts jump around

                        in the

                    overcrowded

         room of my mind

                   forcing some out

           taking others in

I give you a few thoughts

                                    that I am

                           done with

while I work on others

      I try to absorb

                whatever

           thoughts I can

I sponge up your thoughts

                           and wring them

      into a bucket

             where mine recline

this intermingling can

               go on and on

              thru a

      couple eternities

I’m gone; my thoughts

                        have taken

                               my place

What’s left of them

                          becomes

                    the legacy

           of my soul

I hope you cherish

               and nourish them

           back to health

     and we’ll

             be on our way

My thoughts continue

                     to kick

                and shout

       dance & sing

            to eternity

I wish I could have written

I wish I could have written with as much talent when I was that age; but alas, no.  But this is certainly a poem to be proud of, a fine accomplishments.
