WISE OWL
Wise owl in the tree
watches my steps
saying “Who?”
and I stand back
and reflect
and ask “Why?”
There isn’t any such response
“Why?” reverberates
in otherwise still air
countering an echo of “Who?”
The questions remain
imposed in the night
and I stare down the wise owl
We’re seeking the same answer
for two different questions
& ever remain distant from each other
.I don't know why and my mind still questions who
