I don’t do poet voice.
I don’t feel the need
to make it official
or dictate the response.
The audience shouldn’t
need me to tell them
they’re listening to poesie.
The dramatic is just fine
as is
without my embellishment
& the mundane
has every right
to remain that way.
If you make the words count
the affectation
is really not nessa
and only impresses
fools and posers among us.
