for the common cold

upon LSD 

quite by mistake.

 

It’s never been tested

whether or not

it works on a cold.

 

Tonight, in the interest

of science,

I, guinea pig,

seek to find out.

Per Wikapedia: Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), also known as acid, is a hallucinogenic drug. Still no cure for the cold though. Darn - slc
