A plastic bag

getting blown about

at Queen Lane station

 

The bag is empty

and offers nothing

of value to anyone

 

It tumbleweeds

out onto the track

as an Amtrak train

goes flying by

 

I doubt the bag

was acting on its own

 

but apparent suicide

was the verdict

handed down 

by the first responders.

 

Author's Notes/Comments: 

miss a train, have time to kill before next train back, become obsessed with a plastic bag--just a normal afternoon.

thank you much.  You have to do something when you get on the wrong train and have a 50 minute wait for the next train just to go back and change over to the right train again.
