Volunteering at a beer festival

engaged in physical labor 

for free beer.

Move kegs.

Set up tables.

I find myself sampling beers

while working.

A beer in one hand;

a bag of ice in the other

making sure the vendors

keep the beer plenty cold.

If schlepping 40 lbs bags of ice

without spilling your beer

ever becomes an Olympic event

I’m pretty sure

I’ll qualify for the gold.
