Eternal Slumber

Day by day, night by night, I wait for you,
You fill me with love, you fill me with joy,
But I've lost touch of reality,
It feels like I've fallen asleep, and I cannot wake.

You're so close to me, yet you are so far away,
Wishing for your presence, while listening to your voice,
Hating the torment bestowed upon me, for my time here,
Alone, wishing, waiting, I wish to be with you.

I want to be in an eternal slumber, peacefully,
Until the day you come for me, and may you wake me,
So that my days be filled with serenity, and happiness,
That we may give one another that what we feel towards eachother.

The darkness swallows me whole, it feels I am in a nightmare,
In an unnatural eternal slumber, one I don't want,
You are my light to this dark pit I've fallen into,
And you may be the only thing that gives me hope.

You are truly beautiful, you are truly spectacular,
Despite the moments of flaws, the moments of uncertainity,
I remain true to you, forever do you hold my heart,
And with that, I call you perfect, but expect you not try to be.

Eternal slumber, I want to wake, bring me to life,
Be not perfect, but be yourself, and I will be me,
And awake from this eternal slumber,
With this, I do say, I love you.
